We’re happy to share that Lake Geneva Country Meats took home 9 awards (plus a few extras) from the 2026 Wisconsin Specialty Meat Championships in Middleton, Wisconsin!
Held annually at the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors convention, this is the largest competition of its type in America. 42 Wisconsin meat processors entered 768 products into the competition. Each product was judged for workmanship, aroma, and flavor, with plaques handed out for the top 4 products in each category, and 5th place awarded an honorable mention.
This year, Lake Geneva Country Meats took home 9 plaques, 3 honorable mentions, and, most importantly, 2 trophies from the Kids Sausage Sculpting Competition (yep, that’s a thing).

Kids Sausage Sculpting Competition
Yep, this is a real tradition at the WAMP convention. It’s a family-friendly event, and the children of the participating members have the opportunity to transform summer sausage, snack sticks, and toothpicks into works of art. This year, two LGCM family members were winners!
Levi won 2nd place in his age bracket for his “Hair Band Drummer” sculpture.
Simona won 3rd place in her age bracket for her “The Queen of Meat” sculpture.
