Lake Geneva Country Meats is excited to share that we have won 11 awards for our products at the 2024 Wisconsin Specialty Meat Championships!
Held April 12-13th, 2024 in Middleton, Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Specialty Meat Championships is the largest competition of its kind in the nation. Over 44 processors from Wisconsin entered 879 products into the competition, where 46 judges evaluated the products for appearance, aroma, and flavor.
Lake Geneva Country Meats has won hundreds of awards in this competition and continued the tradition in 2024 with 11 awards, including 2 Grand Champion awards. These awards show that the quality products our customers love to enjoy at home are also appreciated by industry professionals for the quality of workmanship.
Speaking about the wins, Scott Vorpagel, President of Lake Geneva Country Meats said:
“We are so proud of our production team led by Plant Manager Marc Baillargeron, who crafted these award-winning products. They work hard to make high-quality products every day, and to win these awards is a validation of what they do. We are glad to see their talent recognized. We also would like to thank our Chief Meat Ambassador Kim Adams for selecting and carefully packing these products to be entered in the competition, and our Kitchen Manager Nick DeCarmine for producing our prepared entrées for the competition. It’s a team effort to do what we do at LGCM, and we have a great one.”
