Ingredients

  • 4 Walleye Fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 Egg
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1/3 cup Flour
  • 2 tsp Lemon Zest (save lemons for serving)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • Vegetable Oil

Directions

  1. Add the eggs and honey to a shallow bowl and whisk together. In a second bowl, combine the panko, flour, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip the fish into the egg mixture, then coat with the seasoned bread crumbs.
  3. Add enough oil to a large skillet to cover 1/4″ of the pan. Heat to medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until the crust is golden brown and the fish flakes easily.
  4. Serve with fries, green beans, and lemon wedges to squeeze on top of the fish. Enjoy!
