Make a simple white wine sauce to put on top of your favorite chicken or beef dish. You can easily make this recipe at home with ingredients you have around the house while your dinner is cooking. Watch Nick and his Uncle Mark show you how to make both a white wine and red wine sauce in the recipe video below. Pour the olive oil into a medium size skillet and heat it over medium high heat.
Once oil is heated, add the shallot to the skillet and cook over medium heat until they are soft.
Once the shallot is cooked, pour in the wine and broth. Bring the mixture to a boil. (Note – at this point you could add 8 oz. of chopped mushrooms, if desired.)
Once boiling, whisk all the ingredients together, and then reduce heat so that the mixture is simmering.
Simmer the sauce until it is reduced by half and serve on top of your favorite chicken or pork items like this Herb Crusted Pork Loin Roast!
