Kim’s Crispy Chicken Hot Wings Recipe

If you like your chicken wings crispy and spicy, this is the recipe for you! Our retail manager Kim adapted this recipe from Cook’s Illustrated and swears that it will result in deliciously crispy chicken wings for you to enjoy at home. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Ingredients

  • 2 lb LGCM Chicken Wings
  • .5 cup Hot Sauce
  • .33 cup Butter
  • Blue Cheese Dressing (or ranch dressing for dipping)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°.

  2. Line a baking pan with foil and put a cookie cooling rack on the foil.

  3. Place wings on the rack skin side up and bake for 30 minutes.

  4. Increase temperature to 425° and bake for 40-50 minutes, until the wings reach 165°F, rotating the trays after 25 minutes.

  5. Remove the chicken wings from tray and let stand for 5 minutes.

  6. While wings are standing, melt 1/3 cup butter, and mix in 1/2 cup of your favorite hot sauce.

  7. Dredge crispy wings through Hot Sauce Mixture Serve with Blue Cheese or Ranch Dressing and Celery!
