You know and love our Mushroom and Swiss Bratwurst, but did you know that you’ll also love our Mushroom and Swiss Burger?? We stuff our 100% USDA Choice Burger Patties full of mushrooms and Swiss cheese, and then this recipe will show you how to take the flavor to the next level by sauteing onions and mushrooms and topping the burger with them. The sauteed veggies add a slightly sweet and savory flavor to this gourmet burger creation.
Heat grill to a high heat.
Place patties on the grill and cook until preferred doneness, approximately 4 minutes on each side.
A few minutes before the burgers are ready to take off the grill, brush buns with melted butter. Place buns on grill until they are a golden brown.
Separately, in a saute pan heat butter on a medium heat. Add onions and cook for 2-3 minutes, then add mushrooms and cook until almost soft.
Add white wine and saute until wine is absorbed. Season with salt and pepper.
Place patty on toasted bun.
On top of the patty add the sauteed mushrooms and onions and enjoy!
