Prep Time

Ingredients

  • 1 Leahy’s Angus Beef Boneless Chuck Roast
  • LGCM Kansas City Rump Rub (or your favorite BBQ rub)
  • 1/4 cup Whiskey (use inexpensive whiskey)
  • 1/4 cup Beef Broth (or substitute beef broth)
  • 1 Onion
  • BBQ Sauce (chopped)
  • Burger Buns

Directions

  1. Liberally season all sides of the chuck roast with the LGCM Kansas City Rump Rub. Add the whiskey, beef broth, and onion to the bottom of a slow cooker, then place the chuck roast on top. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  2. After cooking, the roast should easily pull apart. Use two forks to shred the beef in the slow cooker. Mix the shredded meat with the cooking liquid, and then pour in BBQ sauce to your taste. Mix the meat and sauce together until combined.
  3. Use the slow cooker to keep the shredded beef warm until serving, or let guests serve themselves out of the slow cooker. Serve on top of burger buns with your choice of extra toppings. Enjoy!
