Have you ever tried adding coffee to your steak? We know it sounds a bit odd, but trust us, this easy to make steak rub will blow your mind with deep, roasty flavor, and incredible aromas. You probably have all of the ingredients for the rub at home (especially if you’re a coffee drinker), and it only takes a few minutes to whip together the rub. We use strip steaks in this recipe, but you can put the rub on any steak you like. Let us know what type of coffee you used for the rub, and how you like the recipe in the comments below!
Combine all seasonings in a small bowl and mix together. Liberally season each steak on both sides with the coffee rub.
Place the seasoned steaks on a grill preheated to medium high heat and cook over direct heat for 4-6 minutes per side, flipping once, until the steaks reach 125ºF for medium rare or 135ºF for medium. Remove from the grill once they reach temperature.
Let the steaks rest for a few minutes before serving, and enjoy with roasted potatoes and grilled green vegetables.
