Lake Geneva Country Meats continued its tradition of producing award winning meat products at the 2017 Wisconsin Cured Meat Championships! This year, the judging was held on April 1st, 2017 in Madison, Wisconsin. Over 1,000 products were entered by more than 40 Wisconsin meat processors into the competition’s 36 categories. Lake Geneva Country Meats was thrilled to take home awards in 12 categories. Here is the list of this year’s award winning meat products from Lake Geneva Country Meats:

We are proud to have been awarded these honors from a team of over 40 judges comprised of food scientists, out-of-state meat processors and other food industry professionals. The products are all scored on a 1,000 point scale that judges a diverse group of criteria comprising of external appearance, internal appearance, aroma and taste. To win awards in 12 of 30 categories entered, demonstrates LGCM’s consistent quality across many different types of products.
