Lake Geneva Country Meats is proud to announce we have won 4 awards at the 2017 Wisconsin State Fair Meat Product judging competition! You can see these award winning products on display at the State Fair between now and August 8th. They will be auctioned off on Tuesday, August 8th to support the Wisconsin 4H Foundation. Here are this year’s award winning products from Lake Geneva Country Meats:
- Grand Champion Snack Sticks
- Reserve Grand Champion Smoked Polish Sausage
- Champion BBQ Beef Strips
- Reserve Champion Smoked Bacon Cheddar Jalapeno Bratwursts
In a unique tradition, these products, along with other award winning products from other small meat processors throughout the state, will be auctioned off at the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Meat Products Auction. This yearly event features the sitting Governor of Wisconsin leading an auction of the state’s best meat products. The proceeds are all donated to the Wisconsin 4H Foundation. More than $130,000 was raised in 2016, and the goal is to raise even more in 2017! For more information on attending, please click here.
