LGCM’s Table Tastings are a series of intimate, educational wine tastings focusing on specific wine topics and how they relate to food. This Earth Day edition is focusing on one of my favorite Napa wineries – Frog’s Leap Winery! We selected Frog’s Leap for this particular tasting not just because they make great wine (they do) but because they’re a leading proponent of sustainable, Earth-friendly growing practices. In fact, Frog’s Leap uses only organic, dry farmed grapes in making their wines.
The choice of organic, dry farmed grapes makes a profound impact in the wines Frog’s Leap puts out. They’re not high alcohol fruit bombs, but rather classically styled, food friendly wines. Join us at this tasting as we try five of Frog’s Leap’s wines, talk about the fascinating history of the winery and how organic grape growing practices can affect wine. Here’s the wines we will be trying:
• Frog’s Leap Sauvignon Blanc – Rutherford Valley, CA – $20
• Frog’s Leap Chardonnay – Napa Valley, CA – $32
• Frog’s Leap Zinfandel – Napa Valley, CA – $30
• Frog’s Leap Merlot – Rutherford, Napa Valley, CA – $40
• Frog’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon – Rutherford, Napa Valley, CA – $50
Your ticket includes 2 oz. sample pours of the wine, light snacks and a fun time in an informal setting! Come ready to chat about the wine and learn about a very cool little corner of Napa Valley. Any questions? Just get in touch and we’ll be happy to answer.
