LGCM / Recipes / Beef Recipes / Grilled Hamburger Cooking Instructions
Here’s our two minute guide to grilling a Leahy’s Angus Beef Hamburger! This is a very simple and easy cooking method that will yield great results whether you are purchasing a premade hamburger patty or making one yourself. Remember – don’t push down on the burger patty!
Heat your grill to a medium high heat and rub the grates with oil so your burgers come off the grill more easily and cook cleaner.
If you did not buy a ground beef patty, take your ground beef and make a patty by first rolling the ground beef into a ball and then pressing down on the ball to flatten it out. Pat it back and forth between your hands until it reaches a uniform thickness.
Season both sides of your burger patties with the LGCM Ultimate Steak and Roast Rub for a nice crust and extra flavor.
Place your burgers on the hot grill and cook over medium high heat for about 5 minutes. Important! Never push down on the burgers with a spatula! You will lose flavor, moisture and start grease fires!
Flip the burgers over and cook for about another 5 minutes or until the burger reaches an internal temperature of 140F.
If desired, add cheese to your burger about 2 minutes before it is finished so it melts on top of your burger.
Enjoy!
