We love tacos. You probably do too. Most people love tacos. This recipe is a delicious way to put an affordable steak taco on your plate to enjoy any time you have a craving for a taco. Beef Top Blade steaks are affordable, richly flavored steaks that are easy to slice into strips. This makes them perfect for tacos! Follow this simple recipe to have yummy steak tacos on your plate in less than 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 Leahy’s Angus Beef Top Blade Steak (can substitute Flat Iron Steaks)
  • Adobo Seasoning (or other taco / Southwestern style seasoning)
  • Lime
  • Tortillas
  • Pico de Gallo
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Cilantro

Directions

  1. Liberally season the steaks with the Adobo or similar seasoning. Set them aside while you preheat the grill.

  2. Heat your grill to 400ºF. Once the grill is hot, place the steaks over direct heat, and cook 3-4 minutes per side, flipping once. Once the steaks reach 135ºF internal temperature (for medium-rare), remove them from the grill. You can cook the steaks to 140ºF for medium, but we don’t recommend cooking these steaks beyond medium. You can also do this recipe in a pan or under a broiler if you don’t want to grill.

  3. Once done, remove the steaks from the grill, let rest for 5 minutes and slice into thin strips. Squeeze the lime over the strips. Assemble the tacos by placing the strips of steak on top of a tortilla shell, followed by pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and fresh cilantro. Enjoy!
