Sheet pan dinners are a convenient way to make delicious dinners with little mess. This dinner brings together a combination of Asian flavors with the savoriness of pork chops, and the sweetness of fresh fruit. We use pears in this recipe, but you could also used nectarines or apricots, if you prefer those fruits! You can also customize this recipe by including a hot sauce in the glaze (Sriracha) or red pepper flakes to spice up the finished product. Be sure to watch our recipe video for step by step instructions!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 cup Rice Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Chinese Five Spice Mixture
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 4 LGCM Bone In Pork Chops (use 1/2″ thick chops)
  • 2 Pears (cut into slices)
  • Rice (for serving)
  • Green Onion (chopped)

Directions

  1. Mix together soy sauce, oil, vinegar, brown sugar, Chinese five spice, and garlic powder. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and place the pork chops on the foil. Brush all over with sauce. Add the pear slices around the pork chops, and brush with sauce.

  2. Bake the pork chops and pears in an oven preheated to 425ºF for 12 minutes. Remove, flip pork chops and pears, and brush with remaining sauce.

  3. Bake for another 8 minutes, until the pork chops reach 145ºF, and are tender. Remove and serve with rice, and green onions. Feel free to top with soy sauce or hot sauce for even more flavor. Enjoy!
