Our Sweet Butternut Squash Bake is a perfect Thanksgiving side dish and is so easy to make. It’s filling enough to be a side dish, but also sweet enough to be a dessert. Stop by Lake Geneva Country Meats this Thanksgiving for everything you need to make a great meal!
Cut the squash in half and discard the seeds. Place the halves on a sheet pan and bake for about 40-50 minutes at 350F.
Scoop and mash the squash & set off to the side
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the eggs, milk and vanilla.
Add the squash to the mixture and combine. The mixture will be thin and should pour easily.
Pour into a greased baking pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over casserole. Return to the oven for another 5-10 minutes or until bubbly.
