By using Hill Valley Dairy’s Tomato Basil cheddar in this recipe instead of a boring plain cheddar, you get infinitely more flavor, and more flavor is always a good thing. Combine the flour, shredded cheese, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Combine the milk, 1/3 cup of butter, and egg in a separate bowl and mix together. Add the flour mixture to the bowl, mixing until the batter is chunky. Do not over-mix the batter.
Drop the batter by tasblespoonfuls onto a buttered baking sheet, and bake in an oven preheated to 400ºF for 10 minutes.
After baking for 10 minutes, brush the biscuits with the melted butter, and continue baking until golden brown, about 5 minutes more.
Once golden brown, remove from oven, and enjoy warm.
