Introducing Chicken Strips at LGCM - Lake Geneva Country Meats

Introducing Chicken Strips at LGCM

Last May, we introduced Harrison's Poultry chicken, bringing a better quality chicken to our fresh meat case. You've loved it, and this May, we're bringing you more new chicken to make your life even easier.

Introducing Chicken Strips from Lake Geneva Country Meats.

Our LGCM Chicken Strips are pre-seasoned strips of Harrison's Poultry chicken breast, perfectly sized for quick cooking and serving. When you need a nutritious dinner fast, these are what you should reach for.

LGCM Chicken Strips are the same quality of chicken breast that you trust as a whole piece, just cut into small strips for fast cooking and perfect portioning. They cook up juicy and tender.

You will find at least one flavor of chicken strips in our case all the time. We're launching with 3 flavors the week of May 5th. Here's what you can find:

  • Barbecue Seasoned - a little sweet with a touch of savory heat. Great to serve with a bit of sauce for dipping and fries or chips on the side.
  • Fajita Seasoned - the perfect Mexican flavor for fajitas, tacos, or rice bowls. If you like more heat, add your favorite hot sauce on top!
  • Hot Honey Seasoned - an on-trend blend of sweet and heat, we love these served with sweet potato fries and a bit of coleslaw for a Southern-style meal.

We'll be rotating flavors from time to time, but Barbecue & Fajita will be core flavors. If you like the Hot Honey flavor, get it while it lasts, because we'll be bringing you a new flavor in June!

The Chicken Strips are meant to make your life easy, with fast cooking times, however you want to cook them. Here are our recommended methods:

  • Sheet Pan - throw these on a parchment paper-lined sheet pan and cook for about 15 minutes at 375ºF. They can be cooked with vegetables for a fast meal and easy clean up!
  • Air Fryer - put them in your basket and air fry at 375ºF for about 12 minutes.
  • Grill - place these directly over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes.
  • Pan Fry - heat a bit of your favorite neutral oil to medium-high heat and then cook these for about 10 minutes.
  • Slow Cooker - if you like set-it-and-forget-it cooking, you can dump your favorite sauce into a slow cooker with your chicken strips and let it cook for 4 hours on high.

No matter what method you choose, make sure to cook your chicken strips to 160ºF for food safety. Everyone's cooking appliances are a bit different, so cook to temperature, not time!

You can find which flavors are fresh this week and order online for in-store pickup on our Weekly Specials page.

We are excited to bring this convenient and delicious chicken to you. Stop in, try them, and let us know what you think!
