Grilled Flat Iron Steaks

Flat Iron Steaks are one of our favorite steaks. They’re affordable, yet tender and flavorful. You can cook these steaks using many different methods, but one of the easiest and quickest is to grill them. After grilling, you can either serve full cuts of the steaks, or do what we like to do and cut the steak into thin strips. Let everyone who is eating choose how many strips of steak they would like, and serve with dipping sauces. With a steak like the Flat Iron, there’s no shame in putting your favorite steak sauce on top!

  1. Season your flat iron steaks to your taste with LGCM Ultimate Steak & Roast rub (or salt & pepper, or your favorite steak rub).
  2. Place seasoned steaks on a grill preheated to medium high heat, and grill about 4 minutes per side, until the steaks reach 135ºF for medium-rare. You do not want to cook these steaks past medium.
