Napa’s legendary Shafer Vineyards has released a brand new wine; TD-9. This event is your chance to be one of the first to taste it and you’ll have an opportunity to purchase bottles at a special introductory price!
This small, stand up tasting will be held on our processing floor. Don’t worry, we won’t be cutting any meat while we’re tasting, but it’ll be a chance to get a small behind the scenes peak at where we cut meat. We’ll have water and crackers for you, but the focus of this tasting is on the wines of Shafer. We’ll be tasting four wines:
Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay
Napa Valley Merlot
Relentless Syrah
TD-9 Napa Valley Proprietary Red Blend
The first release of Shafer TD-9 proprietary blend is the highlight of this event, described as follows by Shafer:
“TD-9 is a proprietary blend that celebrates a bold move. In 1973, in the space of a few months, John Shafer went from riding morning commuter trains in Chicago to teaching himself to drive a TD-9 tractor in our Napa Valley vineyard. He’d never grown grapes or made wine in his life. That spirit of risk-taking and adventure still guides Shafer today and inspired the creation of this new wine.
