When you think of Surf and Turf, you probably think of a steak and a lobster tail or shrimp. That’s a great dinner, but sometimes you want to enjoy a taste of both the sea and the land without such an elaborate meal. Enter our Cajun Shrimp Burger! This burger recipe combines a ground beef patty, shrimp and a tasty Cajun Mayo topping to make an absolutely delicious burger creation that you will love. We didn’t include any cheese on this burger, but you can certainly add your favorite cheese – pepper jack will spice it up more – if you’d like. What do you think of this recipe? Ingredients

  • 6 Leahy’s Angus Beef Burger Patties
  • 1 lb(s) Shrimp (raw)
  • 1 cup(s) Mayonnaise (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 Tbsp Hot Sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (like Tobasco)
  • Urban Accents Cajun Street Seasoning
  • 6 Burger Buns (or similar cajun seasoning)

Directions

  1. Season burgers to taste with Cajun seasoning. Grill over medium high heat for 4-5 minutes per side until they reach 145ºF. Remove from grill and keep warm.
  2. Season shrimp to taste with Cajun seasoning. Grill over medium high heat for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through, appearing bright white and pink. Remove from grill and keep warm.
  3. While grilling, combine the mayonnaise, hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Whisk until combined.
  4. Assemble burger by putting ground beef patty on top of the bun, then approximately 3-4 pieces of shrimp on top of the patty, and spooning a dollop of spicy mayo on top. Add other burger toppings like lettuce to your taste. Enjoy!
