For a tasty lunch or dinner that is inexpensive, delicious and fast to make, it’s hard to beat a steak sandwich! Leahy’s Angus Beef Cube Steaks are perfect for making steak sandwiches. They fry (or grill) quickly, they have great flavor, and they’re very affordable! Follow this 10 minute recipe to make a very tasty Fried Steak Sandwich and top it off with a Spicy Mayo. Feel free to customize the Mayo to your taste and let us know what you add in the comments below!

Ingredients

  • 4 Leahy’s Angus Beef Cube Steaks
  • 4 French Buns (toasted)
  • 4 Muenster Cheese
  • 1 LGCM Ultimate Steak and Roast Rub
  • 1 Tomato (sliced)
  • 1 Yellow Onion (sliced)
  • 1.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • .25 cup Stone Ground Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Dill Relish
  • 2 tsp Horseradish
  • .25 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • .25 tsp Paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions

  1. Season cube steaks with the ultimate steak and roast rub.

  2. In a medium pan, add 2 tbsp. oil and heat up to medium-high.

  3. Sear the steaks on both sides, approximately 3-4 minutes.

  4. When there is about 1 minute left of cooking add your cheese on top of the cube steaks.

  5. In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients listed below sauce.

  6. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes, while you slice the tomato & onion & toast the French buns.

  7. Take your toasted buns and spread the sauce on both sides of the bun.

  8. Place your steak on top of the bun and finish with the tomato & onion.

  9. Season sandwich with salt & pepper to taste.
