With this Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe recipe, you can work ahead to have a full batch of Sloppy Joe Sandwiches ready to go when you get home. Plus, by letting the meat and seasonings slowly cook, the flavor gets combined beautifully! This delicious recipe is easy to make and kid friendly, so give it a try and let us know what you think! Ingredients

  • 2 lb(s) Leahy’s Angus Ground Beef
  • 1 Reichert Sloppy Joe Mix seasoning packet from LGCM (or your own favorite Sloppy Joe packet)
  • 1 cup(s) BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup(s) Ketchup
  • 1 Yellow Onion (diced)
  • 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

Directions

  1. Add the oil to a large sauté pan and heat to medium high heat. Add the diced onions and cook until soft. Add ground beef and brown the beef. Remove from heat and drain grease.

  2. Pour the ground beef and onion mixture into a slow cooker. Add the BBQ sauce, ketchup and Sloppy Joe seasoning to the meat and stir to combine.

  3. Cover the mixture and cook on low for 4 hours until the meat is warmed through.

  4. Serve on top of buns and top with your favorites like cheese, veggies or more sauce. Enjoy!
