Add the oil to a large sauté pan and heat to medium high heat. Add the diced onions and cook until soft. Add ground beef and brown the beef. Remove from heat and drain grease.
Pour the ground beef and onion mixture into a slow cooker. Add the BBQ sauce, ketchup and Sloppy Joe seasoning to the meat and stir to combine.
Cover the mixture and cook on low for 4 hours until the meat is warmed through.
Serve on top of buns and top with your favorites like cheese, veggies or more sauce. Enjoy!
