Swiss Steak is an easy to make and affordable recipe that uses Cube Steaks and juicy tomatoes to tenderize otherwise tougher cuts of meat. We add peppers to the dish to add even more flavor (and a touch of heat) but you can add your own favorite vegetables to make this recipe your own. Combine flour and Italian seasoning and coat the cube steaks with the mixture.
Heat the oil in a large skillet and add cube steaks once the oil is hot. Cook over high heat for 2 minutes per side.
Place cube steaks in your slow cooker. Add sliced vegetables around the steaks, and pour the diced tomatoes, including all the juices in the can, over the vegetables and steaks.
Cook for 8 hours on low.
Once done cooking, serve by placing steak on top of cooked pasta, spoon tomatoes and vegetables on top, and garnish with your favorite fresh Italian herbs. Enjoy!
