Change up the flavor of your weeknight tacos with this Turkey taco recipe! This recipe uses our 90% lean ground turkey and “beefs” it up by adding chicken broth, onion, tomato paste and seasonings. The end result is a light but flavorful taco dinner that kids and adults will both love. Add your favorite toppings to the finished tacos and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey (defrosted)
  • 1 Onion (diced fine)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add the onions and cook until the onion becomes clear.

  2. Once onion is clear, add turkey and break into small chunks. Cook over medium high heat for 4 minutes.

  3. Stir in tomato powder, chili powder, salt and pepper and mix together. Pour in chicken broth and stir. Cook over medium low heat until the liquid clings to the meat.

  4. Drain the meat of any remaining liquid, and place meat in taco shells. Top with your favorite taco toppings like shredded cheese, tomatoes, cilantro, sour cream and more. Enjoy your tacos!
