2016 Wisconsin Cured Meat Championships

This past weekend, Lake Geneva Country Meats competed in the Wisconsin Cured Meat Championships and won 11 awards! Our Master Meat Crafter Jeff, along with Marc, Anita and everyone else on the LGCM team worked to enter our best sausage and cured meat products. Their hard work and talent paid off!

The event is hosted every year by the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors in Middleton. This year, the event featured almost 1000 entries across 36 distinct product categories ranging from fresh sausage to jellied loaves! The Wisconsin event is the largest state meat championship in the United States and is known for the overall high level of quality products. Reflecting the high standards of production in the state, 44 of the 52 different producers that entered products took home awards. We are thrilled to have been recognized with 11 honors in this very competitive environment!
