Ingredients
- 2/3 lb Ground Beef
- 2 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 Yellow Onion (sliced)
- 1 Green Pepper (sliced)
- 3 oz Pepperoni (cut into small pieces)
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes (14.5 oz can)
- 2.5 cup Water
- 8 oz Rigatoni Pasta
- 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (cheddar would also be fine)
Directions
- Add ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook for five minutes. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder while it is cooking.
- Add the onion, green pepper, and cook until the ground beef is done. Add the pepperoni and cook for one more minute.
- Note – if you have lean ground beef and there is no fat in the pan, you may need to add about 1 Tbsp. of vegetable oil with the vegetables. Otherwise, use the fat from the beef to cook the vegetables.
- When the ground beef is cooked, add the diced tomatoes, water, rigatoni and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine, then bring to a boil. Cover your pan, reduce heat to medium-low and cook for about 15 minutes until the pasta is done.
- Check around 10 minutes for doneness if you like firmer pasta!
- Remove the skillet from the heat and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Let the cheese melt, then serve this pizza pasta skillet and enjoy all the smiles you see from the hungry crowd!
